Advice from a fellow World Prayer Team member

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. -Psalm 23:6

“Keep living and learning” is the lesson modeled by fellow World Prayer Team member, Kathy, in Washington. Here’s her story:

“I’m soon to be 75 years old. I accepted Jesus as my Savior at the age of seven. I’ve read the Bible through a number of times, but Dr. McGee always has interesting insights to share that I wouldn’t know by simply reading the text.

“Today we began the study of Ecclesiastes, written by King Solomon, ‘the wisest man who was at the same time the biggest fool.’ Through God’s Word, I am learning what kind of person I should be, and also what kind of person I should not be, as a believer in Christ.

“The letters that Steve and Gregg read to us are absolutely thrilling. Things people say about how listening to the teaching of God’s Word has transformed them and sometimes their family members, too, is nothing short of amazing. I love reading the letters that we receive on the World Prayer Team as well. It’s such an encouragement.”

The Bible is filled with stories about the young and old bearing fruit and being useful for God’s kingdom. Today, regardless of your age, thank Him for what He is teaching you and how He continues to bring you closer to Him through His Word. Like Kathy, may we continue to be grateful for His goodness and mercy that follow us as we surrender our lives to Him. (Kathy, thank you for sharing your story!)
