“I couldn't afford to buy Christmas gifts for anyone, but Dad helped me by allowing me to use his woodshop and materials to make gifts. The real gift he gave me was the precious moments spent with him in the woodshop. While we worked together, Dr. McGee’s voice was always in the background. It was the perfect time with my father. I kept up my woodworking hobby for many years. In the frenzied lead-up to Christmas, while most people were frantically chasing store sales, I had found joy in Christmas music and woodworking. During the time in the woodshop, I would hear gifted preaching on the radio. My dad had passed away, but my faith was rekindled with his help. I had spent most of my early twenties as a prodigal, but my Father was there, awaiting my return.”
