When the Gospel Reaches the Diaspora: A Story from Italy

Today we visit Italy. The country is known for its beautiful churches and rich religious history, yet faith is steadily declining for its population. Italy has also become home to many migrants and diaspora communities, with people arriving in search of opportunity, safety, and a better life.
It’s in this context that God is moving in unexpected ways. For Pashko, an Albanian man living in Italy, a simple radio broadcast is bringing hope to him and his family.
Here is Pashko’s story:
“I started to listen to TTB occasionally on the radio. I liked it very much and so I searched on the Internet and learned about the THRU the BIBLE app. I downloaded it and started to listen every night. At that time, I was living with my sister and her husband. Both of them were unbelievers. While I was listening to TTB in my room, my sister would keep the door open and they would listen to what I was listening to. The program attracted them to Jesus and helped them to understand the Bible. This program has been a great help for me so I have recommended it to many friends. Now even some friends at my work are listening to the program.”
We praise God for how His Word is moving through migrant communities in Italy. Through one man's curiosity, others are coming to understand the Bible, perhaps for the very first time. It’s a reminder to all of us that every act of faith, every moment in God’s Word, might just be the spark that lights another soul’s way to Christ. Let’s pray for Italy today and that more would hear the good news.
