Faithful Leaders Rising in Namibia

- Pray for wisdom – That God will guide leaders as they teach without formal training.
- Pray for growth – That churches in Namibia will flourish and reach more people with the gospel.
“TTB is my Bible school.”
This is what one faithful pastor from Namibia shared with us. He was asked to shepherd a congregation after the congregation’s pastor returned to Angola. With no formal ministry training but a heart willing to serve, he stepped forward in faith.
What came next was the work of God! Three congregations now gather regularly under the teaching of God’s Word, and this pastor uses the Umbundu-langauge THRU the BIBLE program to do so.
Here’s his story:
“I am not an ordained minister, but I take care of the congregation. This congregation is formed by people who fledto Namibia after the war ended in Angola. Because their pastor went back to Angola, the congregation remained without a leader. Therefore, they asked me to look after the congregation. The church has grown and has now become three churches. What I would like to let you know is that TTB is my Bible school. These three churches are headed by three men, and I am one of them. None of us have formal biblical training, so we listen to TTB every day and then we teach the lessons to our congregations. I thank God for this fantastic program.”
As this man serves three growing churches with the help of THRU the BIBLE, we’re reminded that God is not limited by credentials or titles. His Spirit equips all who are willing to follow and serve.
