Is God listening?

Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. -Micah 7:7
Are you convinced God is listening to your prayers? Waiting on Him can be hard work and at times even test our faith. That’s the story we hear from a listener in Bangladesh. He shares:
“As a Christian, I pray, but sometimes I wondered if God really heard my prayers. For the past few months, my son has been suffering from severe respiratory issues. He was admitted to the hospital and treated there. We prayed with some Christians at the hospital, and I also requested prayer for my child’s healing through my home group. They were very supportive. During this time your teaching was very helpful. It kept our minds peaceful and focused on God’s power. Today I am happy to report my child is doing much better. Now I know without a doubt that God hears our prayers and He answers. He has healed my child with the help of doctors and their treatments. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, Lord God.”
As we pray for God’s Word as it goes out in Bangladesh today, pray also for all our fellow passengers crying out to God to intervene on their behalf. When all we know is crumbling down around us, like Micah may we too watch, wait, and believe God is listening.
