Finding freedom in our faith

Welcome to the beach. Today our team takes a break by the sea to visit with Brian, a fellow team member. He shares:
“I’m writing this from Virginia Beach, on vacation with my family. We are from Ontario, Canada but love the surf and sand here.
“I always marvel at the unparalleled freedom and opportunities in America but see the reality of that freedom becoming a stumbling block for so many.
“Then I read about a young man in Cameroon on today’s email and marveled at his courage to face persecution and rejection for abandoning his traditional religion and turning to Jesus. It puts me to shame that I don’t have a fraction of his courage in this free world of ours.
“Keep sharing these stories so that we may be inspired to live more like these brothers and sisters in the Lord who live in lands that have virtually no freedom at all … but yet are so much more spiritually free. I think it’s due to their faith born out of persecution. May our God protect and bless them!”
Yes, keep asking God to protect His people and grow our faith as we study His Word. No matter where we live, may our faith give us freedom to share His love with all those we meet.
