God’s Word offers the attitude adjustment we need

March 04, 2024

Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. -Psalm 139:23-34

Welcome to Cameroon. As we pray our way through middle Africa this week, we hear from Sam who shares:

“Thank you again for the good advice I find in your Bible programs. I was an angry man. I was frequently unkind to my ex-wife and my current wife. They found I was not easy to live with. When I listened to your teaching, I realized my attitude was a good measurement for my relationship with God. I needed to change. I began to pray for my family and things got easier. We all live more harmoniously now, and I am trying to use the things I am learning to live a better life. Please pray for me.”

Does your attitude need a little adjusting today? Let’s pray Psalm 139:23-24 asking God to search our hearts and help us become more like Him.

Dear Lord, thank You for Your Word that teaches us the way to live for You and helps us see ourselves and others more clearly. Search us God; know our hearts. Expose anything that is keeping us from drawing near to You. Change our attitudes so we can express Your love to our families, our friends, our neighbors, our coworkers, and even strangers. Help us to be and act more like You each day. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Have a problem? Jesus is the answer. That’s what we’re finding in our study of the Song of Solomon, and that’s what a listener in Democratic Republic of the Congo shares, too. Join us tomorrow for her story.
