What one word describes God’s love?

March 18, 2024

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. -Ephesians 3:16-19

Quick—pick one word to define God’s love. Only one! What would you pick? Extravagant? Reckless? Outrageous? Lavish? Overflowing? A listener in Kazakhstan recently wrote to tell us He is all those things and more. Here is her story:

“I live in a small village; it's been a year since I believed. When I listen to you, I start crying. I am completely overwhelmed by God’s love. Although I do not understand many things, I thank you and God for this opportunity to listen to His Word every day. I did not know Jesus before, but now my spiritual eyes are opened. Hallelujah. Thank you so much. It is as if Jesus Himself came through you to my home. I can’t share the name of my village. There are about a thousand families living here. Out of them, I am the only one who is a believer. God chose me. His love is too much. It’s indescribable. Please continue to teach, and I will continue to weep with gladness.”

Indescribable. That’s a good word for it. Whatever you chose, pray all those who hear THRU the BIBLE in the language of Kazakh come to know and experience God’s great love today. Like this (anonymous) listener, may their hearts overflow with joy as they consider the width and length and depth and height of His devotion to them.

We’re traveling on our knees through Kyrgyzstan tomorrow. Come and rejoice over how God is answering our prayers.
