The overwhelming goodness of God’s love

Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. -Colossians 1:12-14
It’s powerful, isn’t it? That moment when you realize the God of the universe loves you so much that He was willing to pierce His own Son and lay on Him the guilt of our sin. To allow Him to suffer and die on our behalf. Instead of humbling His tormentors, He allowed Jesus to humble Himself … for us. Kaluwe in Zambia recently heard this news for the first time. Here’s his story:
“God’s goodness overwhelmed me and changed my life. Not long ago I met a man who led me to the Lord. I cried for days after hearing of God’s great love. The man also told me to listen to your programs. They have become so much a part of my life that on the days when I cannot listen, I feel like a part of my body is missing. This knowledge of God’s Word has lit up my faith. I desire daily to be in God's presence, and my belief has greatly increased. My desire now is to serve God for the rest of my life, no matter what.”
Thank God for His saving grace in Kaluwe’s life and in our own. Pray more people in Zambia hear His Word and choose to respond in faith. God wants to give them life.
