In this crazy and sinful world, how can I live for God?

As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue. -2 Peter 1:3
“In this crazy and sinful world, how can I live for God?” That’s the question Marie in the Czech Republic recently asked. Here’s her story:
“Each day my soul is fed and my mind is expanded as you teach the Scriptures. However, the world is getting worse. I am often lonely and, given the horrible things happening where they live, I have no idea when I will be able to see my children and grandchildren again. How can a person remain faithful with all the difficultly and temptation around us? I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way. I will keep listening and drawing strength from your teaching. Please pray for us.”
These are important questions. Thank God for His guidance as we study His Word and for His promise in 2 Peter 1:3 that reminds us we are not on our own. Jesus is our source to life and godliness. All God wants from us is to cling to Him. Then and only then will we receive all we need to live for Him today. Together let’s pray others around the world turn to Him and receive it, too. Ask the Lord to put within your heart the desire to please Him most of all.
