A Ghanaian Listener Finds Victory Over Anger
April 04, 2025
He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. – Proverbs 16:32
There’s something beautiful about seeing the fruit of God’s Word in someone’s life. In Ghana, where Christianity is widespread but often mixed with cultural traditions, transformation through sound biblical teaching is needed and celebrated. That’s why we’re grateful that THRU the BIBLE programs in the Twi language are faithfully pointing listeners back to Scripture
While many Ghanaians profess faith in Jesus, struggles with anger, fear, and unforgiveness can still take root. Biblical teaching that applies God’s Word to real-life struggles like these is a priceless gift.
Here’s one inspiring story of a listener to the Twi program:
“I used to get angry when someone would provoke me and this affected my relationships with people. I stopped going to church because people would make reference to my Christian background whenever they saw me in a furious mood. I found this program one day and the message I heard inspired me to cry out to God for help and to not give up my faith. The message touched me so much that I cried my heart out for leaving God's presence and for not asking Him for help. I fasted with prayer for three days and God's Spirit has manifested in my life. Whenever I am provoked, I take a deep breath and walk away. People are amazed that I don't react to situations with anger anymore. Thank you so much for this program.”
What a powerful testimony of God’s grace at work. This listener didn’t just learn new information—he experienced transformation. God’s Word didn’t return void. It renewed his mind and reshaped his heart.
As you pray today, lift up those in Ghana who are traveling with us on the Bible Bus. Ask God to continue to break chains of bitterness, anger, and spiritual confusion. Pray that those who hear God’s Word will allow it to take root in their hearts and produce the kind of lasting fruit only God can give.
