Can God change me?

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. -Romans 12:2

“I wasn’t sure I could change.”

That’s what we hear from a listener of THRU the BIBLE’S African Portuguese programs as we travel through Africa this week. He continues:

“I was a drunkard and addicted to drugs. My wife cried a lot and pleaded for me to stop. One day I heard your program and was challenged by the teachings. I wondered if God could change me. I was doubtful but continued to listen. Not long after, I was surprised to find that day by day I was becoming a different person. At first it surprised me, then I feared it wouldn’t last. Now I know that the changes God has made in me are real. I am a new creature in Christ and as I study His Word with you, I can trust Him to continue to renew my mind and transform my life.”

Praise God He can and will change our lives. As you thank Him for that power in your life, pray more people in Equatorial Guinea seek Him in His Word and allow Him to change their lives today.
