Pray for a secret fellowship in Turkey
November 27, 2024
“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” -Matthew 18:20
God’s presence is powerful, even in the smallest gatherings, and His light pierces the most challenging circumstances. That’s what we hear from a group of ladies who gather in Turkey. Here’s their story:
“First of all, thank you for your beautiful sermons. You say very useful, life-giving things. We are four ladies, housewives, and we get together at the time of your sermons. We are all married and grew up in Muslim families, and our husbands are Muslim.
“I, Ajda, discovered your sermons. As I listened, the Lord spoke to me, and I accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I felt an incredible joy. I am so happy to be saved. I pray to Jesus Christ every day. Then I shared the gospel with my other friends in the apartment. At first, they were judgmental, but after listening for a while, they accepted Christ too.
“Now we have invited two other friends to listen. But they do not know that we are believers in Jesus Christ. We pray for them to accept Jesus Christ. We are doing something very dangerous. But we believe and trust in Jesus Christ. He will protect us. Please pray for us. May the fire that the Lord started in our building grow and touch our spouses, our children, our neighbors. May the Lord's sovereignty and protective hand be upon us always.”
What an amazing report. Despite the risk, these women gather in secret to worship and learn about Jesus, and the presence of God is evident as He transforms their lives and the lives of those around them.
Let’s pray for these courageous women and others like them who gather in secret. May the fire of the gospel continue to spread in their building and throughout their community, touching the hearts of their families, neighbors, and beyond. Ask for God’s protective hand to be upon them, and may His presence be felt powerfully wherever two or three gather in His name.
We’re celebrating a new addition to the family. Join us tomorrow and hear Steve’s story.
