Finding purpose in Cambodia
December 04, 2024
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands. –Psalm 138:8
Today our journey of prayer and praise takes us to Cambodia, where a high school student named Chenda found hope and purpose through God’s Word. Here’s her story:
“I struggled with the pressure to succeed academically and financially. I was lost and without direction. Through listening to the story of Esther on your program, I learned about the faith of a young woman like me who trusted God in difficult times. I began to think about life beyond academic success. I gained confidence and courage, knowing God has a plan for my life. I started a prayer group with friends and became more involved in church activities. I want to help others discover God’s plan for them, too.”
Thank God for how He is revealing His purpose to young people like Chenda through His Word. Let’s focus on Psalm 138:8 as we pray for others who are navigating life’s challenges:
Lord, thank You for Your enduring mercy and faithfulness in our lives. As we lift up Chenda and others like her in Cambodia, we ask You to strengthen them with the assurance that You are at work in every detail of their lives. Just as You were with Esther, be with them in their challenges and guide them to walk confidently in the purpose You have for them.
We pray that You continue to inspire all of our fellow Bible Bus passengers to trust in Your plans and lead others to the hope and joy found in Your Word. We ask that You do not forsake the work of Your hands but continue to shape them into vessels of Your love and grace. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Tomorrow we’re celebrating God’s faithfulness in West Bengal. Meet us there.
