Salvation 10 years in the making

“I’ve studied the Bible with you for over ten years, and I have finally given my life to the Lord.”
Welcome to Poland. As our journey of praise and prayer continues, we stop to celebrate with Bartek, a listener who shares his powerful testimony of coming to faith after years of searching. He continues:
“The traditions and rituals of the church of my upbringing stood in the way of salvation for so long. We often use the same words, but their meanings can be drastically different. During this time, many times I thought I was already converted, and then the deeds of my life showed otherwise. I believe that for most people, even studying the entire Bible twice might not be enough. Please, always remember those like me and have much patience with us. I am learning patience with my loved ones, and I know from my own experience that everything takes time. Especially, a great deal of knowledge and reflection is needed to understand one’s own sin and the perfection of Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Keep shining the light in Poland; it is rare to hear God’s Word spoken truthfully, plainly, and fully.”
What a great reminder of the long journey many face in coming to a true understanding of the gospel. Let’s thank God for Bartek’s perseverance in seeking truth and for the impact THRU the BIBLE is having in Poland.
Lord, thank You for the patience and grace You show to those who seek You. We rejoice in Bartek’s decision to follow You after years of studying Your Word. We ask for Your continued blessing on those in Poland who are still searching for truth. Help them to understand the depth of their need for salvation and the perfection of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. Give us the patience to walk with those on this journey, and may Your Word continue to shine brightly in Poland, drawing many to faith. In Jesus’ name, amen.
